At Bumblebees we’ve carefully designed each of our educational spaces to reflect the unique developmental needs of different age groups — from our tiniest explorers in Baby Bees, to our curious and confident learners in Big Bees.

Each room is warm, engaging, and filled with opportunities to discover, create, and thrive.

Baby Bees
(3 – 24 Months)

A nurturing start for your little one.

  • Tailored for our youngest children to feel calm, secure and loved

  • Cosy sleep area with cots or beds

  • Tactile and sensory resources to support early milestones

  • Secure outdoor area just for non-mobile babies

  • Individual care plans created with you after a home visit

  • Staff trained in safe sleep practices (Lullaby Trust)

Focus: Bonding, sensory play, and secure routines.

Little Bees
(2 – 3 Years)

Encouraging independence, play, and communication.

  • Open-ended play stations for hands-on learning

  • WellComm-supported environment for early language development

  • Toilet training support and life-skills development

  • Structured nap space for rest after lunch

  • Garden time with climbing, balance, and large-scale construction

  • 2-Year Progress Checks completed with parents

Focus: Communication, confidence, and curiosity

Big Bees
(3 – 5 Years)

Getting school-ready with confidence.

  • Carefully planned activities to build early literacy and numeracy

  • Free-flow indoor/outdoor learning zones

  • Small-group sessions led by key workers

  • Mark-making and early writing preparation

  • Outdoor areas with tyres, planks, crates, and role play stations

  • Emphasis on independence and problem-solving

Focus: School readiness, resilience, and creative thinking
